Underwear? Not a fan, especially when I'm on holiday.
Underwear? Not a fan, especially when I'm on holiday.
The jewellery:
A few necklaces and pendants
A few necklaces and pendants
Ganesh choker made by Krista's fair hands, African tribal choker (inherited), everything else picked up abroad |
Two pairs of vintage sunglasses.
Pink pair courtesy of the fabulous Sarah, White Ted Lapidus originals from a charity shop |
A handful of pairs of earrings
Shark's tooth earrings courtesy of Sandy , peacock feathers and bronze festival hoops from the divine Helga |
A few bangles, armlets and anklets
A coin belt
Free from a car boot sale |
Hair accessories (I've also packed hair grips and bands, far too dull to show you)
A handful of rings and toe rings
Silver dragon & carnelian rings both from Krista |
The toiletries are more or less the same as usual so here's what we took on our last trip:
My make-up bag consists of kohl, eyelash curlers, tweezers and a pencil sharpener, not worthy of a picture.
It's times like these that I almost wish I had a Kindle:
The bags are locked so no chance of me sneaking in any last minute things.
I'm off to a dinner party with friends, I'll see you tomorrow, hangover permitting.
Have a happy Saturday.

ReplyDeletehave a wonderful time Vix! Looking forward to seeing you style your perfect holiday wardrobe xxxx
ReplyDeleteLove Amie xxxx
Oh how I wish I was getting packed up to go too - you are going to have such a great time! Love your wonderful clothes. The thing with the Kindle is how bereft you'd be if you lost it - at least if one of these books goes awry you can just start another! Bon voyage! xxxx
ReplyDeleteHave an amazing time, how much will you be bringing home? ;-)
ReplyDeleteKindles are ideal for holidays, if nothing else. I didn't think I'd like mine as much as I do, but I wouldn't be without it now.
x
I have to say I have been leaning towards a kindle too. Even though most of my working life - when I worked for Other People that is, was in the book trade - bookshops, library and index writing. Even though I LOVE having a book in my hand, they look so convenient.
ReplyDeleteHave fun on your vacay~
ReplyDeleteP.s. Mind if I raid your (virtual) closet?? :D
Vix, you are a packing princess - The perfect capsule style wardrobe, albeit the fab bling (and books!) must weigh a bit!
ReplyDeleteStill, you are a marvel.
I hope your stay is as cool as you are - Stay safe, and please return with lots of stories!
Fhi x
Seeing that book heap is making me think a kindle is a good idea - especially for holidays :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have such a fantastic time Vix, looked like youve pack some treasures!
ReplyDeleteSophie

I wish i could pack that light!
ReplyDeleteHave great trip Vix.
X x
You totally need to run lessons on packing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautifully put together wardrobe! You are going to look fabulous, as always.
ReplyDeleteI left Krista a comment about the pendant, thanks! I am crazy about her love of pink, and she seems like great fun, so even if I can't get a pendant, I found a new blog to read. Thanks!
I am a Kindle hold out also, though for holidays it would come in handy. I adore my laptop and my smart phone, but I still prefer my books on paper and my music on vinyl. Great reading selections, BTW!
xo, Anita
Sigh - so many lovely things! You're going to have a wonderful holiday with that lot! So jealous! You'll be sorely missed too xx
ReplyDeleteLovely colour scheme. Everything looks so neat and collective.
ReplyDeleteKindles are interesting but I'd have to try one out to compare, I do still think it's much more engaging to flick through pages. And at least you get to observe the cover work everytime you put the book down- might not be always gorgeous to look at but it's still tactile and real.
Great post!
I'm lusting after EACH and EVERY piece in this post! Have a superb trip, you!
ReplyDeleteMost importantly if you decide to sop by Chennai (Tamil Nadu), make sure you call me. :]
Lots of love.
You are so neat.
ReplyDeleteI love your ring collection.
Very impressed by your lightweight and beautiful and cleverly coordinated wardrobe choices. I'm trying to do the same for my Australian trip but most of my clothes are linen or linen mix so a little bit heavier. But thanks for the reminder about vintage sunnies. I have a few in stock and shall borrow a pair for my hols. I'm with you on the enormous book-pile. I carry most in my large shoulder bag/hold-all, nonchalantly pretending it's actually as light as a feather when we're checking in. I leave them behind for my daughters as books are so expensive there. All mine are from charity shops/car boots so sadly a kindle would be no use as I don't want to pay full price for e-books. Have a great time Vix - I look forward to seeing your photos.Cx
ReplyDeletegod I can't wait to see the holiday photos..have a great time .. love jane xx
ReplyDeletehow funny that you take more jewellery with you than clothes :D wishing you a wonderful trip!
ReplyDeleteYou make it seem so easy to pack and still be a goddess.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous selection, I love it all!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time my lady ;)
What a lovely post and a gorgeous suitcase full of goodies. Wish i could fit into your suitcase i would love some winter sunshine im not very good in January and always seem to get the winter blues. Have a fab time love those sunglasses. Enjoy your evening tonight. dee xxx
ReplyDeleteMy daughter loves vintage and rockabilly, especially the music from the 40s, 50s and 60s. Beautiful post. Happy New Year from Rome!
ReplyDeleteohhh you are so much better than I packing light isn't even in my blood, not in the slightest
ReplyDeleteSunnie
(.=
That's a well-coordinated collection, especially with all your jewellery. It must be great to pack knowing that the sunshine is pretty much a given. We always stay in Britain, so there's no chance of packing light when you have to prepare for anything!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fantastic time, missing you already x
I couldn't pack light if I tried, shit me undies would be half the weight allowance! :D Last time we went back to the UK I put my clothes pile next to the suitcase, Joe likes to pack you see, and I left him to it. It wasn't until we opened the bags at his mums and I said 'What the hell is this lot??' He'd packed the pile of washing as well!! Luckily it was at least washed! hahah
ReplyDeleteGreat travel wardrobe. Have a wonderful trip. I am looking forward to the pix. I have a Kindle but like thrift/rummage books as they are so reasonable here.
ReplyDeleteYou will be the belle of the ball.
ReplyDeleteKnickerless woman, hehehhehehe.
Who needs them on holidays, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Hope you have a great time Vix.
ReplyDeleteDx
I LOVE everything that you're packing. A kindle would be a great investment (ha!) - I hope you have a great, relaxing time! (and I reckon you'll be getting a few wee bargains over there too!!)
ReplyDeleteHave a great night tonight!
Xx
I can always manage to pack light on clothes but makeup/jewellery/nail polish and toiletries have always been hard for me to cut down on! Saying that, I did manage to fit it all in a vanity case when I went home for Christmas so I must be getting better at it!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to be the best dressed and accessorised beauty on the beach! Have fun!! xxx
One of the many things I love about your wardrobe is the fantastic array of colour, and your suitcase doesn't disappoint. I need to take inspiration, sometimes it's too easy to get stuck in a colourless rut.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the dinner party xx
A condensed version of your true style - I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteHave the most fantastic time, bon voyage! xx
It all looks gorgeous and I so want those triangle shaped earrings they are stunning.
ReplyDeleteLove your pink floral hairband too.

Great to see what you're taking, although it makes me feel like I am taking too much on my trip;)
ReplyDeleteI also WISH I had a kindle for travelling, but I am not sure I'd use it much when I'm not travelling.
You're way more organized than I am in actually packing ahead of time. Anyway love your travel wardrobe and hope you have fun! Take lots of pixxx.
ReplyDeleteI'm a last minute packer; it's nice to see you so organised!

ReplyDeleteI never thought I would be but i'm getting tempted for a kindle. Our friend has one and anytime he's bored or whatever he can just get that out and read. They are so light too. Feel like i'm going against my love of having a proper book in my hand though!
ReplyDeleteHi my dear-what a super stylish and compact capsule wardrobe for holiday, wishing you a fabulous time!! xxx
ReplyDeleteWow now that is some seriously cool (and wise) packing! It’s lovely to see some favourites in the bunch and some great detailing in the jewellery too. You are never without a fabulous outfit, I know you will look fab in Kerala xxx
ReplyDeleteYou are a master packer and I love the 'lock and leave it' technique you've developed in your household! Saves the last minute panic - after all, why panic, it's a holiday! xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for you! As for a kindle I have to say I am a die hard book lover who has converted, I once had to pay Ryanair money cos my baggage was over weight with books, this will never ever happen again - not just cos I have a kindle, I'll never fly Ryanair again for many reason!
ReplyDeleteoh is there any space left that i can come with you haha i absolutely hate packaging because i always do it at last minute and forget the most important things haha but you are very organized for your trip. so enjoy it a lot! and come back save!
ReplyDeletebig kiss,mary
You are so organised! I over pack all the time have to take two big suitcases with me when I leave for California.
ReplyDeleteI am happy you are taking your vacations.
Besos
Well here is what I know...
ReplyDeleteYou will look absolutely divine during your holiday.
Whenever I go anywhere I swear I pack like I am leaving for a month. Even if I am only going a week. I think the next Vacation I take I will try it your way. If I feel as though I am running low on a outfit I will look for a local thrift store and find myself something new to me. =D
Thanks for the peek inside your suitcase.
ReplyDeleteI'll take one of each, please. I hope you have left room for new acquisitions!
That's an amazing travel wardrobe!!! I'm in love with your cool jewellery, sounds like an awesome trip!
