I've already been out three nights this week so tonight it's a quiet night in front of the tv with a cheese salad, time to recharge the batteries in readiness for Saturday night.
The frock's nothing new and, along with the shawl, it's featured on my blog several times. I don't own any slobby clothes, even if I'm staying in I try to make an effort to look halfway decent.
Favourite thing on a Friday? A bottle of rose and the boxed set of Sons Of Anarchy (on loan from a lady I know at the swimming baths).

Have a fabulous evening. Us Brits have a three day weekend and typically it hasn't stopped raining all day.
Hi my dear!! Sounds like you've had such a fabulous week and checking out your previous post, its great to see you and your lovely friends out in force having a fabulous time!! The curry looks soo delicious and how great to see your past pictures when you were a blonde too! You have such a pretty face I think you suit being a blond or brunette, but dark hair does make you look very exotic looking!! Wishing you a lovely weekend and heres hoping the rain dries up for our 3 day weekend, today has been continuous!!! xxxx
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely night in and a gorgeous weekend.

The weathers hideous isn't it, hasn't stopped raining here in East Yorkshire at all today and it's having a mighty throw down atm. They keep claiming on the local news it's not going to rain on Sunday or Monday - but i'm too cynical to believe them x
ReplyDeleteoh dear lord! I'm not comment 178 like I usually am! *gets flustered*. I love how you don't do slobby. You always look immaculate and I hope your man appreciates it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteYep, been peeing down all day here too. Bank holiday BBQ anyone? That's what I was hoping for, but we'll have to see...
ReplyDeleteI love the colours and print on your dress - it's good to dust off Old Faithfuls (as Sarah calls them) now and again.
Enjoy your rose and your salad (we've just had a casserole and crumble for pud, the autumnal weather has influenced my menu planning!)
Have a fab weekend, love xxxxxxxx
Vix - you alwyas look great, even when 'dressed down'! We've got thunder here at the moment - blame me, it always rains on my birthday. Have a good night in x
ReplyDeleteAh those are good relaxing clothes! I like big chunky cardi's myself... :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the holiday weekend. Hopefully the rain will stop.
ReplyDeleteLove you, Vix.
Enjoy your evening. Lovely photographs, especially the last one. Sometimes I dress up when I'm not going anywhere and usually end up looking better than when I am going out. Ashamed to say I own PLENTY of slobby clothes!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny cause I'm spending my evening watching Sons of Anarchy again, from the beginning ( next season will start next week so I want to be prepared) :) It's raining heavily so whisky and SOA are perfect companion :)Have a good weekend!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the great photo,it was perfect!
I can't believe thats you as a blonde. you are very pretty, but it just doesn't say Queen Vix of India the Black-haired Goddess!
( I too was a blonde and with ever short curly perm in the early 80's!)
i always had black roots :)
Have a terrific weekend,my love!
Reva
I love quiet nights in! The wine glasses are gorgeous! I love the thick, green tinted glass. I also really love your anklet! I've been trying to find one with silver beads!
ReplyDeleteHow glamorous you look for lounging about the house; I don't look that good when I'm going out!
ReplyDeleteYou look especially gorgeous when you smile.
Happy weekend Vix. Everytime I see you looking gorgeous when you are just hanging out at home I always resolve to do the same more.
ReplyDelete(rain's meant to stop tomorrow!)
Halfway decent?! More than,I say! For sure,a girl can't let ehr standards down just because she's staying home!!! I don't own any sloppy clothes either,I just couldn't wear them if I did.I don't really understand sloppy!
ReplyDeleteI used to be a slut for rose, according to G.....I think I used to drink Mateus when he and I first got it on.It's a bit too light for me now,I do like a grunty red!
Lovely to have a quiet Friday,I do enjoy it when I have one...mind you, ours was fairly quiet,we just went out to visit friends in the country.
Love YOU!!!!
Helga xxxXXXxxx
I am also having a quiet night in. Supposed to be saving myself for a jazz festival tomorrow, but as you the british weather may ruin my plans. But hey its a bank holiday . Woo Hoo
ReplyDeleteHave been away this week and just catching up on all of your posts. Love the historic photos of you - gorgeous girl! I'm blonde (dyed to enhance it) and wish I suited dark hair, would be so much easier to maintain. I'm far too lazy to keep on top of it and do anything with it. You are lucky to suit both colours.
ReplyDeleteLove that you lounge in maxi dresses and shawls, I'm sitting here in joggers and a vest, I must make more of an effort.
Have a fab weekend!
Nicki xx (PS - a hip replacement? Blimey, that's a big thing to go through.)
Cheers, enjoy your evening! Love the light soming through your curtains in the top pic - beautiful x
ReplyDeleteVixcita,

ReplyDeleteI urgently need some UK jumble sales! this dress is amazing and I loooove the price, as always!
ReplyDeleteYour Lamani coin anklet is to die for.
When I'm at home, I usually wear slobby clothes and don't make any effort on my look, haha ;)
I'm having a night in also. Cooking brats and kraut and watching Marlene Deitrich in "The Blue Angel" in German. You look great! -T
ReplyDeleteOhhh so now I know why you look good all the time.
ReplyDeleteBecause you don't have slobby clothes. I should really take a lesson from you and not keep any at my house either. BUT I have some.. I like them *Hahaha*
To me there is nothing like jumping into a pair of sweats and a tank and watching a movie under a fluffly blanket.
You look great and I love the dress alot. Have a good weekend Vix! =D
If I looked as great as you do, I'd forgo slovenly clothes as well. Heck, I'd do without clothes all together. Hope your evening was relaxing and the wine divine.
ReplyDeletelovely photos! we all need a night in to recharge :) unfortunately sometimes i have too many nights in and it makes me lazy. haha.
ReplyDeleteWe have had awful weather here too if it makes you feel better.cyclonic winds for 1st half of week and rain for last half.We have been so spoilt tho so have to take it on the chin coz summer may not bring much rain.

ReplyDeleteI cannot even imagine you in a pair of tracky daks and uggs, darling! You look so glam and relaxed - I love your frock and anklet and you know I'm a sucker for a crocheted shawl.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of Sons of Anarchy but you've mentioned it a few times now so I googled it and it looks pretty amazing PLUS it's available on itunes so I know what I'm doing tonight!

ReplyDeletei should throw out my slovenly clothes so i only lounge as beautifully as this! I love your anklet, i have so many but would love one like this. You look so elegant :)
ReplyDeletexox
I'm actually quite glad about the rain. I'm in work on Monday and I've had a sofa day watching sport on the tv today so it would have been a total waste if it had been sunny!
ReplyDeleteGreat wine glasses and I love how fashionable you look lounging on your coach (I especially love your anklet- very gypsy fabulous!)
ReplyDeleteThank you Vix, I do hope we pull through this hurricane with everything intact. Anyway I love the sons of anarchy show as well, so excited for the upcoming season, I even met Ron Pearl man!!!
ReplyDeleteTheres that fab shawl again that I love, looking elegant on your night in. My daugther raves about Sons of Anarchy too, but I've never seen it, am I missing something??? You'll have to let me know if its got alot of violence in tho first as I don't like violence. Hope you enjoyed your night in, and you are probably at a car boot as I type this so can't wait to see what you found.
ReplyDeleteOk so can you pls explain to the uninitiated (i.e., me) what Sons of Anarchy is? Unlike Sarah I'm too lazy to look it up but I'm sure I'm not the only reader who doesn't know about it. You make me want to chuck my fugly clothes out...but then I'd never get any painting done :)
ReplyDeleteEven your stay at home look is fashionable! Mine is usually my flannelette pj pants and a jumper haha
ReplyDeleteE :)
Hi Vix having a pleasant weekend on this side of the ocean, we are waiting for Irene, what will be left of it, strong winds starting as i am typing! I just love your ankle bracelet and the whole look -«You look do cozy!
ReplyDeleteAriane xxxx
Your evening sounds inviting, Vix. I relaxed with a martini last nite and right now I've got a cup of Joe to see me thru blogging. I would love it if it rained here, it has been bloody hot!
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed your last few posts esp. the pix of you as a blonde and that lovely photo of you and your mom. What a treasure.
Oh, here is a burning question, what is a cheese salad?
xoxo, Bonnie
You look really happy in that last pic. I'm in tonight after 3 nights out in a row - even off the wine, my liver needs a break! xx
ReplyDeleteEvery party animal needs to recharge every now and again!
