I spotted this vintage hand-made dress listed on eBay a couple of weeks ago, the description simply said "Paisley Print Dress" and the photograph was fuzzy but I loved the colours and thought it worth a punt.
1960s maxi dress (£3.19, eBay), Fringed suede jerkin (£9, local junk shop), 1970s scarab pendant (£1, car boot sale), rose print bag (20p, car boot sale) |
When it turned up I noticed tiny fishes, ducks and peacock feathers nestling amongst the paisley.
It's an identical print to my friend, Liz's red dress. What's the chances of that happening?
So that's Friday's frock. How about a favourite thing? This week it's this morning's charity shop finds:
From top left: 1980 knickerbockers dressmaking pattern (55p), Indian beaded cuff (20p), 1960s love beads (20p), Rajasthani mirrored caftan (£1), Vintage goat hide pot stand (10p), kitsch kitty cruet (£1.99), 1970s tooled leather purse (50p), Psychedelic linen apron and oven mitts (95p), 1970s Holmes of Norwich green patent leather & snakeskin bag (£3.99), Paisley print mini dress (£3.50), 1930s carton of Mendine glue with bulldog motif (30p)
Hope you have a fantastic weekend, I'm off to rake up that whopping mountain of leaves between the torrential rain showers and probably reward myself with a chilled can of pear cider when I'm done.
See you soon.
