It's CamperJam this weekend, a festival of all things VW related, and Gilbert's off on another road trip. By the time you read this scheduled post we should be parked up and cracking open our first cider.
Edwardian-style maxi (Coutesy of the lovely Amy) with a vintage suitcase (£1) and 1970's straw hat (50p) both from car boot sales |
The weather took a turn for the worst an hour ago so my original plans of floaty frocks and straw hats were scuppered. It's no fun setting up camp in a rain-sodden maxi. It's off with the first dress and on with a shorter number which will be dry in no time.
Thanks for all the wonderful comments you've left for me this week, I'll be over to visit you as soon as I get back.
Have a brilliant weekend.
YAY! You look BEAUTIFUL Vix - I LOVE you in both outfits but the maxi is especially special! Hope you guys have a delightful festival and get some lovely weather! That close up pic of you is EXQUISITE!

Hope you, Jon and Gilbert have a great time togther and with those other VW enthusiasts. Apparently, the weather should be perking up over the weekend, so I hope you've packed a few summery maxis. The Edwardian style one is totally gorgeous - you can't go wrong with a leg o'mutton sleeve.

I think I have a crush on you! I've had some good times in a 73 VW camper bus...eh eh hmmm :) I love how active you guys are, is it because of those long gray wet cold winters....it just feels so great to get out and GO!
ReplyDeleteLove both outfits on you and I don't think you can take a bad picture. Have fun, wishing sunshine for you to basque in.

ReplyDeletehave an amazing weekend Vix x
ReplyDeleteI do not know if this has occurred to you or not... but it's something I do all of the time when I get stuck with damp clothes, towels, etc. I use my car door as drying racks. I anchor the piece at the top of the door, then close it. Then my stuff can dry in the sun. Of course, this wouldn't help you on a rainy day. But you could always wait for sun, give your damp rags a cold rinse, and then dry them on the car. I hang my bathing suits from the rear-view mirrors and rest my shoes on the bumper. You can also get magnet hooks and attach them to the car.
ReplyDeleteSince your clothes are so gorgeous, you'd make a pretty display! On second thoughts, maybe you'd loose stuff that way too...
Have a fantastic weekend! xxx
ReplyDeleteBe good and don't get drunk!! erm scrub that, Get arse holed and be as bad as you can be!! xx
ReplyDeleteOh Vix what a fabulous life! I hope you have a wonderful time xxx
ReplyDeleteFantastic outfits as usual! I always read your VW posts with a little bit of melancholy. I had two beetles, and a VW Thing! The Thing was fantastic, you didn't roll down the windows, you took them off, doors came off too, and the windshield even folded down! Alas the heating system was not for a NY winter, so I had to sell it as I was tired of wrapping myself in blankets, while trying to drive manually! Have a fun time, I hope you come back with loads of fun pics!
