Living Colour

The more mundane the task the brighter my outfits seem to get. We had to visit the local hellhole commonly known as Asda Living earlier to purchase additional plates and glasses for Saturday evening's dinner party so I simply had to dress for the occasion.

1970's era daisy print cotton sundress (Charity shop), Vintage Jaeger suede belt (courtesy of the lovely Nikki), Liberty silk scarf (vintage shop), Russo Platforms (TopShop)

A riot of colour amid the grey jersey joggers and saggy black leggings. The cashier told me I'd brightened up her day.

Dinnerware sorted, just got to devise a menu.

Barry M "Spring Green" polish day 6. and still not a chip in sight.

  2. Dear Vix,
    Great summer outfit!
I love 70s cotton dresses, they are so effortlessly stylish & your one is in a particularly yummy colour too.
Purple, pink & black go really well together & I agree with Kandi, that scarf is versatility in material form!

  4. You look fabulous as ever and I love the shoes. Barry M has got to be my favourite brand for nail varnish, I just can't believe how long it lasts.

  9. That Barry M is holding up so well, is that with two coats plus a top coat? I usually just slick on 1 coat because I'm lazy and impatient lol!

Fab dress, I was telling my friend Helen (who works in BHF where I volunteer) about your blog and she's going to check it out. I was saying your one of the most confident dressers I've ever come across. xx

  21. Well Vix, you didn't only brighten up the cashier's day, but mine too. My eyes immediately flew to the beautiful scarf. This is the best 'how to survive Asda' outfit I've ever seen (I've never been to one, but if I ever have to go, I'll be thinking of your example!) xxx

  28. Love the shoes!
Very envious as I can't wear peep toe as they make me look small and dumpy even though I'm not.
And that Liberty scarf is gorgeous too.

I hate Asda full stop - dash in, grab your stuff, dash out - no wonder they wear trackies for going in there.
Bet you made a pleasant change.
