Another Old Banger

You've already met Gilbert so we thought you might like to meet Ebbie, the newest addition to our fleet of vintage vehicles. If you're not a classic car buff she's a 1970 Volkswagen Variant 411 LE. She's going to be our daily drive. She's been living on a Kent farm for a while hence the mud.

One of the best things about owning a classic motor is the vintage car scene, rolling up to the many British car shows dressed in the clothes of the period. Owing a 1970's car gives me the perfect excuse to strut my stuff in psychedellia and manmade fabric.

Hopefully we'll be at the Ludlow Spring Festival this weekend. No real ale for poor Jon though, he's the driver!

Today's outfit?
1960's bri-nylon pussybow blouse (eBay £1.24)
Polyester maxi skirt (courtesy of the most wonderful Helga)
Vintage leather belt (Scope 49p)
Raffia handbag (Methodist church jumble sale 20p)

  4. Thanks for the lovely comment that you left on my blog! Ebbie is gorgeous and unusual too which is a bonus. I would love to have an old style beetle as my daily driver but I would worry about reliability so we have a modern car (Carmel) for everyday use and Lexie for fun! x
