Playsuit (Reconstructed vintage dress), Shoe boots (TopShop), Belt (Vintage), Bangle (Lamb)
I love a playsuit. Flirty, feminine and fun you can get away with showing a lot more leg than you can with a short dress. Perfect with heels for hitting the town or dressed down with wellies for the mud bath that is a British music festival, they're the perfect addition to any girl's wardrobe.
There's no way I'd buy one from the High Street. Run the risk of fifty other girls wearing the same outfit? No way! I made the one I'm wearing by chopping up a vintage floral dress picked up for 10p at the local church jumble sale and revamping it.
I wish I could sew! That's amazing!

Um, how much would you charge to make me one?! Haha. I am in love.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you take an item which is decidedly 'mumsy' and change it into haute couture.
ReplyDeleteYou are so incredibly creative and clever. Even if 50 other girls wore the same outfit as you, noone could wear it as well!

That is great!! And you know you won't run the risk of someone else bumping into you wearing the same!! I love it!! You've inspired me, my nan gave me one of her old dresses and I was going to use it for fabric and cushion covers, not anymore, she will be pleased.
ReplyDeleteLove the play on the Ramones song title aswell.

That's completely fantastic! I'm guessing it's quite tricky to do as well x
ReplyDeleteFor the benefit of us non-talented girls, can you explain how you transformed it? I'm guessing some chopping was involved but I can't picture the rest of it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks stunning on you.

Fantstic idea - if only I had the legs (and body) to wear a playsuit.
