How bloody ironic! Days after admiring the The Blind Girl in Birmingham Art Gallery I've become the subject of the painting. Uveitis is rare eye condition, affecting one in ten thousand of the population and of course, one of those had to be me! I'm hoping that blitzing it with the intensive course of steroids I've been prescribed will help recover the vision in my right eye and normal service will be resumed shortly.

ReplyDeleteOh my sweet, very best wishes for a speedy recovery. As well as steroids to reduce inflammation have you considered things like Turmeric and Ashwagandha as adjuncts?

Came here to re read your fabulous posts on the Pre Raphaelites and Victorian Radicals and was so sorry to hear of your eye problem. Particularly unfair given your obviously wonderful 'eye' as they say regarding colour, art, etc!
