"Christmas? That's only for families with kids, mad folk and the three people left in England who actually still go to church, isn't it?" said the lady on the night bus, which probably explains my indifference to the whole shebang.
Being neither insane, religious or of the maternal persuasion, instead I'm raising my glass and toasting all that's good at this time of year such as finding cool things on eBay (like my 1960s fringed snakeskin catsuit) while the rest of the UK are preoccupied with Christmas shopping.
Drinking on a school night,
'cos no-one has to get up for work in the morning,
Enjoying even the normally quiet back street pubs being stuffed with revellers and a party vibe.
And watching TV in the afternoon with our animals,
of both the furry and scaly variety.
The mild temperatures have awoken Jacob from hibernation - hopefully temporarily!

So whether you celebrate Xmas or just life in general, here's to you all, enjoy 25th December and see you on the other side.

FABULOUS Xmas !
ReplyDeleteOutfit of the year saved for today - awesome!
ReplyDeleteI am not celebrating Christmas personally - I go through the motions for the kids.
Have a great time in this miserable wet country for a few more days - then you'll be waving it goodbye - which is what I'd rather be doing.
Thanks for sharing another year with us - Bloger would be a much duller place without you.
Lucy xx
Happy Holidays Vix. Loving the snakeskin jumpsuit. It shows off yoru figure to perfection.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you all!
ReplyDeleteFabulous catsuit - I don't know how you manage such great finds! I was way off with the Ossie Clark guess, but maybe one day! Have fun celebrating - it'll be a riot of wrapping paper and chaos here tomorrow morning!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Vic - Have the loveliest of time with your friends xxxxx love Froogs xxxx
ReplyDeleteLove this post, you make me smile. Cheers right back at you, and hope you have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteThe jumpsuit is killer on you and I love the back. I think Christmas is, for many, a sign of our culture's enslavement to rampant consumerism (I'm by no means exempt from this), but on the good side a time to get together with loved ones and family. Funny, though, I am just working on my holiday post and commenting on how many of the shops are open here today (when normally they are closed Monday) - except they're all the food and wine shops! It's all about the food in France! Have a lovely festive season, Vix! xoxo
ReplyDeleteMy god...that's a fabulous catsuit. Fecking stunning you are.
ReplyDeleteThat's it...it can come now. I've got The Kraken waiting, a big fire, a box of Turkish Delight and I'm not doing anything apart from read some books.
Have a splendid time Lovely girl.
Loves ya.

That jumpsuit looks just amazing on you! There's nothing cold-blooded about it.
ReplyDeleteChristmas is a form of torture, it's true, but well done for finding what is good about it and celebrating it.
Happy Whatever to you and your merry little band in Vixland! xxxx
Hurray to spending time with friends, pets and twinkly lights!
ReplyDeleteLove the catsuit. I never could wear those, too tall in the body.
What a wonderful catsuit to wear to welcome Christmas in, have a really happy one!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and every second of life, my wonderful friend.
ReplyDeleteXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The pub pics are so festive - and so's your smashing new jumpsuit. I've got no kids nor church, either, so we are kicking back and enjoying all the happy moods. Best to you!
ReplyDeleteI'm kvelling over that catsuit! (Any New Yorker worth their salt knows at least a few Yiddish words, its kind of a tradition!) Its gorgeous and fits you like it was custom-made, to die for! Agreed, not big on the holidays myself. Love all our birthdays bundled into a month, but hate the rest mixed in -- too dang stressful. Even the kiddos get too over-excited, while I'll admit it is fun to watch them. I love the cooking, haven't made anything yet -- I'm the official "Strufoli" maker of the family (ever have them?? they're trad Italian xmas treat, little deep fried balls of dough covered in honey & no one else can be arsed, it can be a pain) and to me its not the holidays without them so may enlist the help of Gwensday Addams to help me get over my bah humbug attitude! Either that or I plan to be in an absinthe haze for a few days. Oblivion is quite a nice way to get "in the mood"! Enjoy the holidays, and catch you in the new year! XXX
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays you, anomals and friends my lovely. I adore the jumpsuit - it's so You;) xx
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas my dear Vix!!!
ReplyDeleteThat jumpsuit is fabulous and so your lovely tree and the awesome decorations!I tried to comment on your previous post this morning, but internet was blocked ,anyway I'm so glad that you liked the presents!
I wish you and your friends the most wonderful Holydays!
Lots of Love xxxxxxx
oh dear, poor confused Jacob, he is sweet though. So are the cats. and wow, that catsuit, what a find. I love the back. It looks stunning! Have a lovely day tomorrow, eat loads and laze around. xxxxx
ReplyDeleteDo you know what I want for Christmas? To be allowed to go into your closet and try stuff on. You have the most interesting clothes on the planet. This jumpsuit is amazing. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeletePS forgot to mention your kitties, so pretty! The black and white one looks just like a little girl I had when I had my shop! Sadly she hated my daughter (which was sad, my little saggie girl loved her) and her hubby and daughter were terrified of our dog (kind of funny since the tom was actually way bigger than Fiona at the time!) so I had to find good homes for all when we closed (totally freaked me out). But it worked out fantastic, each home was so happy to have a part of what had become their life by being regular customers and were all good people, who kept me up to date so I didn't feel so sad! So happy to have a new little girl! XXX
ReplyDeleteBeen slow to make my rounds, but wanted to tell you Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, even though I did read what you said and you may not be quite enchanted with St. Nick and the whole shebang (ha ha), but wishing you loads of fun and happiness anyhoo! Looked back through your recent posts and am ga-ga over those long dresses!!!

I hope you have a wonderful un-Christmassy Christmas and a rather drunk new year too! Loving the kitty pictures and DIY decorations! You're such a crazy talented lady! ~♥~
ReplyDeleteGirl you are amazing - a back view in a jumpsuit? Inspirational. Love the look and the attitude. Happy Whatever you find to Celebrate!
ReplyDeletewhouu, you're fabulous in that catsuit, really inspiring and gorgeous!, wish you enjoy a nice time (always!)
ReplyDelete(I'm not a huge fan of that xmas spirit, I don't feel concerned about it indeed!)
besos & noches felices
I wish you the merriest christmas, dear Vix!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous look to celebrate the end of the year. I love the thought of a whole new and fresh year coming in. To me that's one of the best things about now. Not Christmas itself. We don't decorate, get a tree, or buy that nasty Christmas wrapping paper. I think I spent all my Holiday glee on a past life when I had 3 small kids under my wing. Now it's more about the food and the cocktails.
ReplyDeleteNow I need to think about what I'm going to wear today! Thanks for the inspiration Vix! Here's a hug from Seattle. ;)
Your looking very slinky in that catsuit, Vix. I love that keyhole detail at the back, very sexy.
ReplyDeleteHope you and Jon have a happy Christmas xxx
Fabulous catsuit Vix! Here in nz the summer weather is here at Christmas time. For me its all about taking a couple of weeks off to recover from the previous year! Have a great christmas xoxo
ReplyDeleteFabularse catsuit and love the keyhole detail at the back. Reckon you should win Rear Of The Year with an arse like that. Enjoy the next couple of days till it all gets back to normal, lets hope the telly is better than last year.

ReplyDeleteDx
Merry Christmas Vix!
ReplyDeleteMerry Vintageness to you you gorgeous and inspiring woman. May you have a jolly time in that snakeskin suit.
ReplyDeleteThat's the catsuit of all catsuits I do believe, especially on you, Ms. Vix. Happy ____ to you. Nothing x-mas happening here, we don't give presents, we do that whenever something comes up that we want to give the other. no decorations, I am making brownies today for my true love while he's away at work. I never cook/bake so he'll be surprised. And we're planning Asian foods to make together for dinner tomorrow. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the cats and the catsuit!! Honestly Vix, I think you have rear of the year - the catsuit looks like it was made for you. Enjoy the holiday season. Off to pick some blackcurrants and gooseberries and then plan for a lazy hot sunny day!! Love all the way from NZ.
ReplyDeleteRock the hell ON, you sexy bint! Nice ass!!! G and I are loving that catsuit action!!!
ReplyDeleteYay to good times indeed! I'd rather celebrate all that on a daily, and regularly do!!! WOOHOO!
All your lovely critters are hanging out!! Poor old Jacob, getting disturbed like that, but I'm pleased the weather is a bit milder for you!
Kiises and squuezes to all your lovely crowd, and most especially to you and Jon!
Love Helga xxxXXXxxx
wishing you a wonderful life-is-pretty-celebration, sexy cat ;)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, dear Vix!
ReplyDeleteThis sexy cat suit is the best thing Santa will see all year long! Dang Vix it's just banging on you! I'm not really all that into Xmas either but I do like all the fairy lights, over abundance of sweets and alcohol, time going out, time chilling out and new beginnings. The animals look rather cosy why even Jacob's confused, ah poor guy go back to sleep honey. We must talk before you leave! I love seeing the gang, Walsalls best dressed!! Such a well dressed bunch with sweetness to boot.
ReplyDeleteI loves you all!
Xxoooo
What a great "SUIT"! Sounds like you have wild plans for the holiday. Stay merry & as bright as possible as you celebrate "life in general" :)

ReplyDeleteHoly cow, that is the best Christmas eve outfit ever! I agree with the lady on the bus. I am embracing the opportunity to share good food with friends and enjoy some down time before the insanity of work starts all over again...and bonding with my new pet (photo to show up on my blog). Merry, Merry, darling Vix! Talk to you on the other side.

ReplyDeleteThat catsuit is beyond -- it's got everything I like! Cut-out, animal print, perfect fit.
ReplyDeleteGuess I fall into the "mad folk" category. ;)
ReplyDeleteLike how you're staying festive but not letting the holiday decorations take over your home or your life. And I love the "free" part.
The shot of you and that catsuit from behind is DEVINE; pure glamour. Talk about an outfit that has your name on it!
Merry Christmas, Vix!

Perhaps, God had you in mind when he created jumpsuits and Goa. Watch movies in the afternoon along with cats ... quality of life!

You look absolutely gorgeous!! just love it!
ReplyDeleteKisses, Lucy!
Aw, I love Christmas. Always have been a big fan. That said, I feel a wee bit less Christmassy as I get older. I think it's because it's not just quite as exciting as it was when I was wee. But I like that folk get all celebratory, I like knowing we'll see most of the family and I like that New Year follows closely after cause that means PARTY! Have a brillo festive period whatever you're up to. I'm sure you can't fail too with a jumpsuit like that! Wowzers!
