A Well-travelled Frock On A Friday

This dress once lived with Kylie who sent it to Emma who, in turn passed it on to Sarah who then posted it my way. It's travelled across Australia and ended up in wet and dreary old England.

To cheer the poor thing up I threw on a neon palm tree print jumble sale tee shirt that I'd hacked at with the scissors and a heap of bling,

and my favourite Barry M nail paint.

Statement pendant from the fabulous Ivy Black

If it wasn't for the dark skies, torrential rain and thunder you'd almost be forgiven for thinking it was Summer.

Hand-printed vintage maxi by Henry Fashions worn with a re-vamped vest (20p, jumble sale) and velvet platforms (£9, Office sale), bedraggled hair and frozen expression (a combination of the British weather & last night's trip to the pub)

Not to worry, there's rum on ice and the England match is kicking off shortly and to make matters even more exciting I'm meeting another gorgeous blogger tomorrow.

Have a fantastic weekend and see you soon!

  4. People must be cheered up immensely wherever you go in your bright, summery clothes, given the dark skies and rain. Incredible bling today, including that pendant from Ivy Black. I should get out the scissors and hack up some of my T-shirts too. You have inspired me!

  6. I can't wait to find out who you're meeting! Love the way you've accessorised the dress. Not many people would think to throw a neon print tee over a maxi. It looks fab.
Is that Turquoise by Barry M?

  8. Poor old frock having to come from that gorgeous sunshine to dreary old England, at least it found a bright and happy owner though. I dropped you an email too, if you've no plans on Sunday it's Leamington peace fest, if the weather bucks up we'll probably be there. Have a great weekend. Xx

  14. Great styling, as ever. Fantastic colour combinations, where would you buy hand-painted dresses now?
This weather is so annoying, we really need a good July to make up for it now.
The suspense is killing me regarding your visitor tomorrow, can't wait to find out who it is.
Enjoy the footie,I think I'll have a tactical nap while it's on. Three pints of lager last night and I'm struggling today. Gone are the days where I could sink 8 pints and still function the next day!

    Have fun tomorrow,

  18. Great dress! I've been thinking about doing something like that- sending some stuff to fellow bloggers instead of just donating them. I sometimes feel that some of the items could be more loved (some of the things I donate are totally lost on Grantham, trust me).

Have fun tomorrow! One of these days I'll hop on a train to go charity shop hopping with you, hehehe
