What's your favourite thing on a Friday? Today it was receiving a parcel from the lovely Tomye who surprised me with this gorgeous vintage Paula Brooks maxi dress.
Check out the print.
The parcel also included this fabulous Indian bracelet amongst other things which I'll reveal soon.
I'm frocking knackered this evening but nothing a quick half at The Wheatsheaf followed by an evening in front of the TV with lashings of alcohol and a home-made pizza can't fix.
The new bag made it's maiden voyage.
How fabulous to be able to wear peep toes and bare legs in almost-October.
Have a brilliant weekend whatever you get up to.
See you soon.

Dearest Vix,
ReplyDeleteLove the print on that frock & the cut is super classy too, you look wonderful. It was so hot today that I couldn't even continue with my biannual house cleaning extravaganza.
I ended up re-potting the house plants on the balcony instead...it was sweltering and I stripped down to a pair of hotpants & a bra top, it's bonkers to think it's October tomorrow.
Have a grand old weekend my dear!
Lot's of love,
Jennie

Vix, am rounding up my comments from the last few posts here:
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he's getting on ok.
Really wish you lived closer to me :( I'd happily pay you a finder's fee to snap me up some vintage suitcases! They seem to be rare as hen's teeth at the car boot sales and charity shops round here.
And you look gorgeous in today's photos - so happy and beautiful. Have a cracking weekend.

I wondered if you might share how you maintain your vintage clothes? I have the most amazing 70s suede coat with a huge faux fur collar, and have just shelled out £50 to have it dry cleaned, plus had to sign a waiver to say it had "zero monetary value" if it got ruined as it's more than 10 years old! I'm desperately hoping it comes back intact, as I've had it for a few years and it's one of my most fabulous things, but god, I grudged the price, especially as it was more than I paid for it.
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous, love your style !!!
ReplyDeleteand your new bag is adorable :)

My favourite things to do on Fridays are getting into some comfy lingerie, reading blogs, recently Tweeting on Twitter, and watching the Television series "Nikita".

That rose design is pretty. Home made pizza? Yummy!
The print is superb and the shoes kick ass! I really think that you should post a video of you shopping. I would live to see a live car boot and have you explain the dos and dont's of car booting on camera. I know that many people, myself included, would love to see it. Please consider it.
