Here's me at 7am this morning, not bright-eyed but definitely raring to go. It's been a fabulously sunny and warm day today, just gorgeous.
The sheepdog print went but we couldn't shift that Lord Nelson coffee pot. We made another fistful of cash and as usual, met some bizarre characters including a lovely elderly gentleman who invited us to stay with his family in the Punjab.
This Lady Monaco catsuit was waiting in the post box when I got back, one of several recent eBay wins. I'm wearing it with the vintage silk parasol and 1960s psychedelic tote I picked up for £1 apiece earlier.
Sunglasses are an essential today, my eyes look appaling after two 6am starts.
I also bought this 1970's embroidered leather shoulder bag (50p), five pairs of 1960's dead stock gloves (£2) and a 1950's unused Pifco trouser press (50p), terrible aren't I?
1960's nylon catsuit (£6.50, eBay), vintage Charlie solid perfume pendant (20p, car boot sale), over sized red-framed sunnies (25p, Salvation Army), original Ravel platforms (£4.50, Cancer Research) |
It's an early night for me, I'm knackered.
cheered me up this morning .. you and all the bright colours. glorious! xo
ReplyDeleteVixcita,

ReplyDeleteFabulous catsuit! A very impressive blast of pattern. Oh, you so should have an open-air pool installed in the garden so you could waft around in that ensemble, parasol'n'all!
ReplyDeleteAre you guys doing another carboot tomorrow, to make it 3 in a row, or are you going to be kind to yourself and go jumble-sale-ing instead?
Totally impressed how you got the photos up so quickly after 2 unearthly early mornings x
Looking beautiful :)

You've just reminded me that I have a vintage parasol lurking somewhere. I need to dig it out. It kills me how you can look so glam so early, you should see me en route to work at that time of day, scaring young children and puppies lol. Xx
ReplyDeleteThat's the massive drawback to car boots - they start way too early!
ReplyDeleteAre mid week one's quieter than weekends, with people being at work?
That catsuit is incredible! Love it. Well done on the successful car boot! x
ReplyDeleteI love your catsuit looks like it was made just for you shows off your figure like a dream. An offer to stay in the punjab bless him. Hope you have a lovely nights sleep and wake up feeling refreshed in the morning, dee xx

Mmh and there is a (softly bewitching) "escaped from Goa in the late 60's" vibrancy in this nonchalantly worn catsuit I must say Dear !!!

ReplyDeleteI love that you were a bit naughty and did a spot of shopping yourself;). I just showed the first pic to The Phoenix and he gasped! Yes, an deep intake of breath at the sight of you, the glorious treasures and the VW!! My eyes went immediately to the Jules pic - that's him ranting Bible quotes pointing his cannon at those young guys in P.F. - I love him!! You deserve a lovely rest after those early starts:)) xoxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteDearest Vix,
ReplyDeleteI loved both these posts & lucky you for hooking up with a seller with vintage goodies ;)
I sometimes wish we had a car so that we could do boot sales too but we wouldn't use it enough to justify the cost. I'm off to Portobello Market for a small research trip now...my eBay auctions were a damp squib, so I need to set my plan B in place pretty swiftly.
That jumpsuit is fabulicious, I've had a bit of eBay luck myself of late...it were nice when that happens!
Take care luv,
Jennie
xXx
