They aren't strictly new, just new to me.
I love Viv Westwood's Melissa plastic shoes so when I spotted these bubblegum scented Brazilian-made alternatives at this morning's boot sale I handed over my £2 coin without a moment's hestitation. Who'd have thought plastic could be so comfy? The jellies I wore as a kid in the 1970's cut my feet to ribbons.

What else did I get?
Poodle placemat set (£1) and some blingy 1970's costume jewellery (20p)
Hand-rolled vintage scarves (50p each)
Retro nylons (20p per pack)
My earrings were 20p (they are complete but the official blog photographer neglected to tell me they were twisted).
Packaged 1960's shower caps and rain hoods because you never know when they may come in useful (10p each)
What a gorgeous girl. A pack of six extra-large greetings cards 45p
Urban Outfitters peacock feather bangle 10p
Steve Madden platform sandals (£2)
Shortly after these pictures I had my eyebrows re-tattooed. I look a bit on the scary side now and hopefully won't terrify the pensioners when I go swimming tomorrow.
PS Thank you for the wonderful comments and messages I had regarding Tuesday's post, it meant a great deal to me. x

those shoes are fabulous! i love the scarves too.
ReplyDeleteI lived in jelly shoes for a couple of summers once, and the huge plastic jelly bags that clicked everything; happy days! Can I ask; I've been seriously considering having my eyebrows tattooed as they are just disappearing; is it mega expensive, and do you go to a beauty place or a tattoo place? I need to investigate...
ReplyDeleteKandi x
Oh, shoe envy, shoe lust. Oh.
ReplyDeleteAMAZING VIX! I love that polka dot top, and especially coveting that belt! gorgeous! *would love to feature you in one of my upcoming V+V series. -xxoo

ReplyDeleteya know, i can never find scarves for my hair around here! You have such luck! Yay for eyebrow tattoos! I should just get mine done. BUt i change my hair color so often and I would be stuck with non matching brows! LOL
ReplyDeleteGood grief, my poor addled brain just can't take in all those goodies. Love the sandals. Love the poodles and loving the scarves. In fact I would like to see every single scarf in all its fab detail and drool disgustingly over each and every one because that's the sort of person I am (bonkers, in case you hadn't guessed).
ReplyDeleteYou're amazing!
What a find those jelly/plastic shoes were! How lucky!
ReplyDeleteI am lucky enough to have a pair of those Melissa for Viv shoes, the pale blue heels with the gold orb. My parents bought me them as a gift.

ReplyDeleteI love the sophisticated jelly shoes! I remember kids who wore those old ones to school in the
ReplyDelete70s (usually red or dark brown plastic) quite often also had glasses with a sticking plaster over one lens. You might find quite a market for those plastic rain hoods too.....;)
