It's been a perfect weekend. The weather's been glorious, we've hung out with friends and picked up some brilliant bargains from the Bank Holiday car boot sales. We've even got cracking on the garden, replanting the window boxes with variegated ivy and miniature white chrysanthemums and filled our eclectic assortment of skip-rescued pots with car-booted trays of geraniums and marigolds.
I found these flower-trimmed black lace heels at a car boot sale this morning for £1. There's no labels and I don't think they are anything posh but they're blooming gorgeous.
Vintage maxi dress (Courtesy of my darlings Helga & Sarah), galvanised watering can (rescued from a skip), saddle stones and pottery wall plaques (found in our garden) |
I'll have to share my other finds soon, we're having a crisis here as the boiler's just blown up and we can't get hold of a plumber. Looks like an emergency takeaway pizza and a bottle of wine to see us through.
Vix that dress is fabulous!I love the colour. Hope you get your boiler fixed soon.

Oh no, hope boiler behaves till you get a plumber. I have been inspired by a clear out to get a few vintage goodies into my life again. I like well loved items :) x
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat a car boot for plants as they are a) cheap and b) the seller actually knows about what they are selling which is more than can be said for many people who work in garden centres these days.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous over those shoes; they are blooming gorgeous!
Hope that the boiler is ok xxx

Sorry to hear about your boiler, atleast it's not sub-zero outside...why do these things always seem to happen at a weekend or bank holiday, when the call-out charges for a plummer sky-rocket?!
Hope it gets sorted soon.
Take care love,
Jem
