Boot Sale Beauties

My favourite car boot sale restarted today. I could hardly sleep with excitement last night (I know, I'm easily pleased) and was up bright and early with a £20 note burning a hole in my pocket in anticipation for a few bargains.

What have we here? Vintage leather peep toes by Norvic (50p), 1960's double zipper leather ankle boots with crepe soles and a sheepskin lining by Diana Broadway (50p), Hand-rolled Foreign-made satin scarf, peacock blue silk head square, crochet-edge driving gloves and pink elbow length nylon gloves (£1 the lot), Tapestry leather lined satchel by Pepe Cilba of Spain (£2), 1960's blue suede shoulder bag (£1) and 1960's white leather disc bag (£1) plus a heap of fancy coathangers (£1) and some free boot stays (in the boots)

1970's Leathercraft satin lined maxi coat in buttersoft chocolate brown leather (£3)

How fantastic is my 1950's crochet poodle bottle holder? Well worth 50p I'd say.

At £4 this vintage velvet maxi is the most expensive and my favourite find of the day. Made by Samuel Sherman's SAMBO label in the mid-1960's it's immaculate and fits like a dream.

No sign of any wear on this groovy label.

Jon wanted to show you our latest eBay bargain:

A rare nine panel Georgian door salvaged from the set of a recent TV drama series.
It was a 200 mile round trip to collect but at just £90 you can't argue.

He also won a skip full of wood for £1 which'll keep the woodburner in fuel for the next few months.

Am I forgetting Me-Made-March?
I'm wearing my Great Grandfather's silver vesta case as a pendant, I've threaded it with black ribbon, so hopefully that counts as reworked.

I'm blown away by the phenomenal comments I received yesterday, so thoughtfully written and amazing. Thank you so much!

  28. I adore that dress, you look proper high-gothic (as in a Victorian femme fatale rather than modern 'goth') - like one of those alluring sorceresses in Pre-Raphaelite art.

The poodle on the other hand proper scares me! I dunno why it freaks me out! Maybe the mad eyes?
