Here's what we wore to our friends' annual bonfire party last night.
Jon's very grumpy because he didn't want to pose for a photo but as so many of you had asked to see him in his jumble sale finery I had to be stern with him.
As you know I'm not one for practical clothing and the mere thought of having to dress for comfort sets me off in panic mode. Thankfully the fabulous Christina kindly sent me this gorgeous vintage sheepskin hat which meant I managed to stay warm without compromising on the glamour stakes.
Isn't it fabulous? I didn't take it off all night. Most of the guests thought I looked like a Russian Bond villian, a good thing in my books.
Jon's wearing a vintage Dhobi windowpane check jacket, English-made leather gloves, 1960's Tootal scarf and an Aertex polo shirt (All from Thursday's jumble sale). The leather brogue-style boots were from eBay and the jeans were originally relaxed fit but he altered them himself. The sunglasses were from a street market in India.
I'm wearing a pair of high waisted acid wash jeans (From a sample sale a couple of years ago), Edwardian-style leather lace-up boots and a vintage Eel skin bag (both from the British Heart Foundation), 1960's nylon pussybow blouse (Jumble sale)
I've got to be up with the lark tomorrow to join the queue for my Indian tourist visa tomorrow. I can't wait to be back lying next to this boat with a bikini and a good book in less than a month.
