The Great Escape

How much do I hate the British winter? It's been dark and gloomy all day, it's bitterly cold and it hasn't stopped raining for hours. We got a thorough soaking this morning on the way to the Indian High Commission and the damp weather's playing havoc with my arthritic knees, I'm hobbling around like an old granny.

Never mind, the Visa are being processed and I can start thinking about packing for Goa. Hooray!
I love getting all my maxi dresses out and trying them on. I'm a very light traveller so only the most fabulous frocks make the grade. My bag rarely tops the scales at over 12kg and most of that is books.

Forget woolly jumpers and sensible shoes, this is how I like to dress in December.

  1. Oh, envy!! It's been vile hasn't it? I don't mind a bit of a chill, I have some fabulous knitwear and I love suede....but the rain was just rancid this morning. I was down by the coast as well, I thought I was going to be blown all the way back to London....
