Down To Business

I don't like it much but once in a while I'm forced to act like a grown-up. Like today, for instance, I've been sorting out my accounts, applying to renew my Indian visa and had to attend a meeting with Dad's financial advisor.

In my opinion there's nothing more business-like than good old navy blue, a waistcoat and a pussybow blouse and this fab vintage maxi dress by "Barnaby" combines the three to perfection.

It was a pressie from my darling Helga, isn't it fab?

Just to prove that I'm not really an adult I've painted my nails Barry M green and I'm having vodka and coke with chip butties for tea.

Chip butties, yum! I used to think they were so weird when i first moved to Britain (a starchy thing in a starchy thing!), but I've come round entirely now and love them - and with lots of brown sauce cos I live in Edinburgh!

  42. Hi. I'm a new reader of your blog and am fascinated by your style on a shoestring aesthetic. You have probably gone over this several times in the past, but I wondered if you work and if so, what as? Lucky you if you don't but also lucky you if you do as most workplaces wouldn't be so appreciative of your dressing up style! I like it though, Fay x
