The fabulous Kitty sent me a parcel packed with the most gorgeous vintage goodies all the way from Australia. It was wrapped to perfection but in my excitement to get to the contents I seem to have lost the photographs I took of the fab tissue paper and pretty braid, sorry!
Here's what she sent:
A gorgeous New Zealand-made nylon maxi dress - perfect for my next trip to Goa. Worn with my 50p vintage straw hat and an armful of bangles.
Rings from the left: Gaia Ring (Kitty), turquoise (Jon for my 30th), lotus wraparound (Kitty), Lapis Lazuli (my Dad for passing my Eleven Plus), Tribal hammered silver (bought myself), 1970's swirl (Kitty) The black Barry M polish was a pressie from my friend, Janne.
Fabulous hippy chic dress with net skirt and flower trim (definately one of next year's Glastonbury outfits)....
...which I've accessorised with a floral headband I made from some of fake flowers I bought at Saturday's car boot sale sewn to the waistband of a pair of tights.
Butterfly-sleeved floaty chiffon top, which I was lusting after when Kitty put it on her blog several weeks ago. I've teamed this with some jumble sale jeans hacked off into shorts, my knee-high lace-up boots (£1 car boot sale) and a beaded peacock bag (50p car boot sale)
And finally these delicious 1980's New Zealand lambskin high-waisted trousers. They fit to perfection. How on earth did Kitty know I'd been searching for a perfect pair of leather trousers for years? She must be psychic!
Don't they go a treat with the vintage nylon pussybow blouse I found at Thursday night's jumble sale?
Kitty, you're an absolute star! Thanks a million! I wish you and Helga didn't live so far away.
If there's any Aussie bloggers reading , she's selling these amazing vintage suitcases on eBay...I'd love them.
Polly's the tabby, Stephen's the black and white one. I made the curtains! |
On the subject of kitties, our little boy, Stephen Squirrel's a bit poorly and has been to the vets today. Can we please have some positive vibes sending to make him better soon?

ReplyDeleteVix, how exciting to see you wearing these! The leather trousers fit as well as I hoped, yay! the 'hippy chic' dress is a Delphine & Fabienne, a small contemporary Sydney label which is not well known but their quality is fantastic. I got a whole lot of their stuff a few years ago BNWT and I'm keeping it until it becomes vintage, you're the only person to get one. Thanks for showing these off.xx.
