My darling friend, Calamity Jem sent me another beautifully packaged parcel of surprises this week.
We've yet to meet or even speak to one another but over the past eleven months she's become a very dear friend to me. Look at the trouble she's taken with the beautiful packaging, I could hardly bear to tear the paper apart.
Can you spot the sweet little face brooch? He looks rather like Brahma.
The parcel included this rather slinky Cotton Candy frock. We're at a dinner party tomorrow night christening our friends' newly refurbished Sixties pad and this could be one of the dresses I'll wear. I'm a nightmare when I go out, I'll try on everything I own before I make a final decision.
Mind you, I'll be needing sleeves and a pair of tights if it's as chilly on Saturday night as it is now.
Other goodies included a funky purple cap, some vintage hoisery, a rather inspiring book on fabric scrapping and just to keep the man in my life happy, a 1950's issue of a conjuring magazine.

What a dear friend and such a beautiful dress. The parcels look absolutely beautiful. It was the book on fabric scrapping that caught my eye though and it's already on my amazon wishlist, it looks amazing!
