By the time you read this we should hopefully have set up camp in Wales and be quaffing our first pear cider, temperamental air-cooled VW engine permitting.
We're taking Gilbert on a four-hour drive into the beautiful Brecon Beacons for a weekend at the Green Man. It's the first time we've been to this festival and I'm very excited. The weather forecast isn't great but armed with everything from sequinned flapper tops, hot pants, fake fur coats, sunhats and wellington boots there's sure to be something appropriate I can throw on.

ReplyDeleteAnother festival! You and Gilbert look great together Vix. I've been noticing a lot of maxi dresses lately and in fact saw one this morning and thought of you immediately! I also loved that maxi you had on yesterday and hope you enjoyed the curry.
ReplyDeleteThe term thrifting has just sort of evolved I guess and includes the local church thrift shop to Goodwill. When I go "thrifting" I'm on the hunt for anything vintage and I usually also manage to find a great price. Altho, I was at the Salvation Army yesterday and they had a special section they called Collectibles and everything in there was priced out of this world expensive. I couldn't believe it and they didn't even serve tea or chip butties. Not sure what that is I'm just guessing they're cookies!

ReplyDeleteWhat incredible pictures! You like like you're right out of a Polaroid album from my childhood, but more stylish of course. The palette, the shapes and accoutrements, the VW camper... My dad had an olive green VW camper van, and I think I remember mustard-gold upholstery.
