Torrential rain, gale force winds, unseasonably low temperatures, it can only mean one thing, the great British festival season's arrived and we're about to set off for a weekend of live outdoor music, camping in the forest and muddy fun. Bring it on, I say, it sure beats sitting at home and watching the telly.
I've emptied Asda's shelves of cans of gin & tonic, there's a couple of gallons of pear cider, fancy cheese & fresh olives in the cool box and my case is stuffed with everything from waterproofs, fake fur, floral garlands, sequins, bikinis, thermals, false eyelashes, woolly hats, sunglasses, shorts, headbands and fingerless gloves.
1960s jumble sale nightie revamped by me, vintage umbrella, 1960s earrings & vanity case (car boot sales), 1970s high-heeled wellies (found by a friend), neon socks (the lovely Elizabeth) |
Have a brilliant weekend.

Love your dress. You should write a book on festival chic.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is EXACTLY the vision I needed at this exact moment - you in those brilliant polka dots and neon socks with a bubble-gum red case, smiling under an umbrella in gale force winds, ready to have fun! Only you could have high-heeled wellies - great friend to have found them. Thank you for this!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a fabulous time. I would have packed some Twizzlers too, addictive wretched red licorice - you can slurp drinks through them like a straw if you bite off the ends. Okay I stopped doing that when I was, um, eight?, but they would add a certain je ne sais quoi to gin.
Have a grand old time and whatever you do do not lose that gorgeous brollie!! Looking forward to your blogs on your return ♥

ReplyDeleteYou look great as always but my favourite item has to be the vanity case! I found a similar one at PDSA a few months ago, only smaller and navy! They're so beautiful, aren't they?
Hi, I really love love that little coral suitcase you are holding and the dark red boots rock. I love the way your orange socks are higher than the boots. I adore the very first picture, it looks true vintage.
