Blogger Challenge/Sisterhood Of The Travelling Blouse

The other day I had an email from the lovely Amie, a dear blogging friend of mine, asking if I'd like to take part in an exciting challenge her virtual buddy Alex had dreamed up.

Here's the gorgeous Alex and her idea:

"I always look at what my fellow bloggers are wearing and think "Oh, I like that, how would I wear it?"

So I thought it was a great idea to buy a piece and to start a Blogger Style Challenge.

The concept is that the blouse is worn here by me I style it my way and then I package it up and send it onto another blogger and she does the same, just like borrowing it directly out of my closet."

How could I refuse? The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Blouse, a second-hand garment shared amongst bloggers the world over, styled to make it personal to the wearer.
Alex went for a retro-inspired look, teaming the blouse with a colourful maxi skirt and a vintage leather bag whilst Amie chose to style the blouse in two ways, here rocking the festival vibe with a home-made feather head dress, wooden jewellery and suede ankle boots:

Here in her trademark style, accessorising with vintage-inspired specs, cropped high-waisted pants and classic court shoes:

And here's me:

Silk playsuit (50p, car boot sale), 1960's vinyl & tapestry bag (30p, car boot sale), Tapestry boots (£10, Richard House Hospice), 1930's Liberty silk scarf worn as a belt (£2, car boot sale), Lamani gypsy coin belt worn as a necklace (street market, Karnataka, India)

I'm wearing the blouse open over a silk playsuit, as both pieces are contemporary I've max-ed out on the vintage accessories.

The blouse is a UK size 22 but as we all know, size labels mean nothing in the wonderful world of second-hand shopping, it's all about creativity and inventiveness.

Where will the blouse go next?
