Oh! You Pretty Things

How excited was I to snaffle this hoard of pretty costume jewellery from the Salvation Army charity shop yesterday? The ladies in there are just wonderful and hold back interesting bits and pieces they think I'd like.

This beauty is quite sought after if this link's anything to go by.

Striking 1970's piece by Channel Islands Jewellery

Miracle are a Birmingham-based company producing fine Celtic-inspired jewellery since 1946

I love this Corocraft piece with the Georgian lady, greyhound and the folly in the background.

I adore Sheffield Steel jewellery and bizarrely share the surname of the inventor of Stainless Steel, perhaps I'm in line for an inheritance?
Kitsch but kind of cute. It's hand-painted but I can't make out the signature.

This hallmarked pendant has a handy pin on the back enabling it to be worn as a brooch.

This screw-opening silvertone pendant contained a photograph of a happy couple, I left it at the shop in case they could trace the owner.

Now, which one shall I wear tonight?

PS The nail varnish is Barry M's Spring Green.

  14. I am totally in love with the Goldette locket and Miracle pendant- such beautiful and interesting pieces.
It is so kind of those ladies, and it seems they were spot on with these. Bargain prices, for items that are just so rare and unique like these :)xx

  16. What a haul ! Love all of em'! Especially the Miracle pendant and the watch #1. Our charity shops are pretty bare of necklaces and accessories. The West side of Cincy (and all of cincy) is a very frugal place. Most people pass all their jewelery down to family. Though, even back "home" in the country, there isn't much. Unless u r willing to pay a lot at Antique Malls.
    Which I am not ;)
You are lucky to have such sweeties keep stuff back for you! I have tried to no avail :)

  28. Corocraft. Now there's a blast from the past. Some great stuff. The only thing I don't like about gold-tone is that it marks your skin and clothes. I stick to silver as it seems to suit me. But those designs are fabulous. Can't pick a favourite.

  29. Knowing me I'd wear them all. LOL.
I adore the nostalgie feeling that they give off. No, this time I don't have a favourite, Vic, they are all unique and very individual, too!;-)

  31. Oh my goodness what treasures! You have such a knack for all things shiny! I'm starting to think I don't look in the right shops for things like this, my charity shops are filled with old Topshop jewellery, bronzed and tarnished...
