Who cares if it's horrid out there? I've had the Easy Rider soundtrack on repeat for most of the day and "If 6 was 9" has to my favourite track of the lot. I adore Jimi Hendrix. I nearly wet myself when I sat under his framed silk shirt in Bangalore's Hard Rock Cafe.
I've had an exciting parcel from a very dear friend today!
Not only a fabulous psychedelic tunic, a crocheted fringed waistcoat, some Kiwi sweeties (already sampled...yummy), a vintage washbag, an embroidered hippy belt and some Bump-its....
....but also this stunning 1970's two-piece, just right for a posh bird like me that loves to lunch with the ladies in Wetherspoons.
A very quick try-out with a Bump-it resulted in rather amazing big hair within seconds, no backcombing or pesky hairgrips required....it might just change my life.
We are attempting to declutter the middle room aka the dump, the vintage suitcases contain my stash of vintage wallpaper and some of my fabric and guitar is Jon's 1970's Eko acoustic, strictly for drunken sing-alongs, the fancy ones are kept under lock and key.
The shoes were £5 from Debenhams and the vintage handbag was from a local charity shop. The somewhat mangy feline is our old lady, Lucy-Jean. She's 19 and recently decided to change her image, restyling her fur into dreadlocks...teenagers, huh?
ta robe est superbe et j adore le raccord avec les chaussures, trop top !
ReplyDeleteHa ha, bless Lucy-Jean.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to hear about the bump-its, I am forever trying to backcomb my locks for it only to fall flat within minutes. A shopping trip may be required...
Oohh I have been looking at those bump-it hair thingies and decided to get one to find they only had blonde left :( ~ must try harder.
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are WOW!

What a lovely parcel to receive!
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda intrigued by those 'Bump-It' things - maybe a step-by-step type thing is in order..!?
Great outfit - very classy :)
I bought some shoes a very similar colour today. The colour's not 'me' at all & I'm really not sure what it'll go with in my wardrobe, but I love it!

Love it all - the bump-it, the suitcases and the oufit xx
ReplyDeleteGreen Man...I've never been but I know lots of people who do...could be a possibility, it does look like a good one. Believe it or not it's a bloody long way from here as there's no motorway down Wales and we're right at the top right hand corner!
ReplyDeleteThat outfit is just so perfectly glamorous on you and the bag sets it off a treat. Is there anything you don't look brilliant in?!
xx
I love your vintage suitcases and to say a big 'thank you' to you! I have finally plucked up the courage to dye my golden blonde hair brown after wanting to do it for ages and ages! If you and Leigh Lazark can do dark brown and Debra Messing and Cynthia Nixon can do red, why can I not do mid brown I said to myself. I was fed up of fading into the background somewhat and I feel so happy for doing it so 'thanks'! xxxx
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is awesome!! gypsy inspired perhaps?
ReplyDeleteThat is cool that the bump it works...I was always a little skeptical when I see it on commercials! hahaa
You look marvelous! I almost bought a bump-it today as I passed the dollar general store while off to the BMV to renew my car tags! Glad to see they really work!! I have very fine hair and was worried they would show through. I am off to parents tomorrow morn or afternoon. I will miss your lovely style, but am inspired and looking forward to some country time. Miss Ya! :)
ReplyDeleteThe thing I like about popping over to read your posts is that all your looks are so different. Take yesterday's compared with today's for instance - both just fabulous (why don't I look that good in a nightie!!), and both so different. You really are so clever. Have a great day x
ReplyDeleteLoving the new location , i can snoop on your wordly goods... i spy a damn fine screen and wallpapered (?) stairs... amazing idea!!
ReplyDeleteAlso loving this sophisticated lady i see, does she serve lambrini's at her dinner parties?! The idea of that coupled with Jon's impropmtu single alongs on the guitar makes me think you would be a damn fine hostess!!
Love te bump thingy, methinks a beehive is in order ;)
Love the vintage cases, bag, guitar, croche waistcoat and the gorgeous dress you are wearing. Mind you - those shoes are so fabulous, too. Such a nice colour!;-)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet of your friend to think of you;-)

ReplyDeleteLove your vintage suitcases and your perfect lady that lunches outfit! Have seen Bumpits advertised(how cheesy is the advert) and in Tesco's but think the marketing put me off! Judging by your photos they look like they actually work!
