Green Day

I'm loving my Barry M "Spring Green" nail polish so much that I'm having a green themed day.

1970's high-waisted maxi skirt (Vintage Fair), wooden clogs (local boutique), black vest (Jumble sale), Kate Moss at TopShop waistcoat, Orla Kielly scarf (magazine freebie), green chandelier earrings (Charity shop), Vintage frilly umbrella (Car boot sale)

Silver bangles (Car boot sales or inherited from Mum), Green plastic bangle (Charity shop), Tibetan finger ring, jade ring, nest of vipers with a moonstone centre and cobra ring (India), star-embossed thumb ring (Marakkech, 1991), aquamarine ring (30th birthday present)

My activities have also been green, I've made this recycled patchwork curtain today from scraps of vintage fabric and old jumble sale curtains (one down, one to go).

.....I've helped save the planet by buying these clogs from a charity shop thus rescuing them from landfill. A kind neighbour brought this pretty white geranium round for me earlier.

Needless to say that any empties from this evening's World Cup viewing will be deposited in the bottle bank in the morning.

Let's hope the England team do us proud tonight and I won't be feeling green around the gills tomorrow.

  21. Hi Vix,
Have to admit that I am currently experiencing a small but nevertheless potent pang of jealousy over that outrageously fabulous skirt; the print is uber-groovy!
I'm really into your DIYed curtains too; you've incorporated some really gorgeous fabrics.
This has definitely been a week of breathing new life into old bits & bobs for both of us ;)
    Long may it continue!
The planet needs everybody to reassess the way we consume & discard items that can still be of use...Huzzah, for recycling!

  22. I love the theme of this post, the skirt and the recycling efforts (we must get to see the curtains in situ). I adore green and as a dark-haired, green-eyed girl I am currently wondering why I don't ever wear it.

(Poncho arrived safely, many thanks. It is a small world. I'm going to have to wrestle the bindis off the Aussie though, he is very taken with them)
