Found!

My wardrobe is in utter chaos at the moment, there's holiday clothes, winter gear and festival favourites jostling for space and there's no space to hang it all. There's stuff piled over the doors and maxi dresses looped over the sides, it's no wonder that I discover a long forgotten gem each time I brave the blessed thing.

This is it a few months ago in a rare tidy moment.

Whilst I was rummaging this morning I unearthed this crimplene frock I'd snaffled at a jumble sale for 40p and some purple suede T-bar shoes I bought in Debenhams sale for £5.

I'm not sure why I've held on to the dress as I don't really do pale colours (far too impractical for a messy bird like me) but I did feel a bit "First Lady" when trying it on, more Jacqui O than Sam Cameron, I hope.

The vinyl faux tortoiseshell framed Kelly bag was from the same jumble sale, it was 20p and contained some green cotton gloves, a sewing kit, a plastic comb and two huge buttons...I love it when bags contain hidden treasure, a tiny time capsule of mundanity!

The antique bone bangle and lucite dress ring were both car boot finds (Reva , I'll do a post about car boot sales soon!) and the hair's all my own.

Don't forget it's your last chance to enter my GIVEAWAY... it's open till 10pm!

  5. Very chic and much more interesting than anything I’ve seen SamCam sporting of late.
I remember reading an article in Harpers Bazaar a few years ago in which cabbage patch Cam’s wife proclaimed that Gwen Stefani was her “alter ego”; must be one of those bedroom alter egos, eh?
I was just thinking how much I would love her, if she did a variation of the “Cherie Blair” door opening debarcle & swung open the door to number 10, to put the empties out for the milkman, dressed in full-on Harajuku attire.
Go on SamCam I dare you ;)

  6. You look great! Love seeing you in a structured outfit, you are lucky you can do both.
Sounds a find of a bag, I usually find old mints, snotty tissues and maybe just maybe 1p if I'm lucky...

  20. Very demure! Different from your usual exotic style, but charming, nonetheless.

I look forward to your post about car boot sales - a totally "foreign" concept to me! (I know "car", "boot", and "sale" - but have no idea what it means when they are combined.)
