Tickled Pink

It must be Helga's influence but lately I've become rather enamoured of pink. I was eyeing up these neon opaques last week on the hoisery stall and I thought about them all week. When I went down the market today they'd been knocked down to 50p.

Dress (Jumble Sale 20p), Tights (Market 50p), Shoes (TopShop £8), Beret (Charity Shop 30p), Handmade button brooch (B'ham Rag Market 50p), Bangles and rings (India), Earrings (Mum's jewellery box)

The dress is another from the haul of vintage shift dresses I snaffled from a jumble sale a fortnight ago. This little beauty is "Styled by Deneave for Marsden Fashions of Leeds." I'm loving the Peter Pan collar.

I found the Kangol angora beret in the Salvation Army earlier today .

I also picked up a black faux fur hat, a purple envelope clutch, a yellow leather shoulder bag, a deadstock black panty girdle and three pairs of unworn leather court shoes in black, purple and green for the princely sum of £5.40. The Salvation Army rocks!

These rather groovy "Russo" leather peep toes were in TopShop's sale last January.

We're off down the local biker's pub for a few jars before a traditional Friday night curry.
Have a lovely weekend, readers!

  1. Wow! those shift dresses were definitely the buy on the century!
I've decided you suit every colour. There isn't one that doesn't suit you. Lucky thing.

Your Friday night sounds spookily the same as mine and Andy's, pub then curry. Perfect. Have a great one.

  3. You've pulled it ALL together from a great variety of sources! You're definitely "Pretty in Pink. Compared to a few other thrifts stores that I've come to patronize, S.A. is expensive. I maybe should give then another chance. My resources are limited though, so I tend to seek out the best bargains even in THIRFT stores (as I call them here).
