I spotted this vintage Liberty silk scarf on the floor at yesterday's jumble sale and handed over my 10p in a state of frenzied excitement. The world might be falling apart but finding a pretty bargain certainly provides a minor distraction from the horrible events in the news.
I planned today's outfit around my new find.
Late 1970's era Robert Newman maxi dress (£2.95 Acorns Hospice)
Precious things:
Bangles (All second-hand or presents from pals). Rings (from left): Moonstone (from my lovely friend, Janne), Turquoise (from Jon), smaller turquoise chip (Bought in Goa), Amethyst (21st birthday present from my mum), silver finger ring (Goa), Lapis Lazuli (11 plus examination gift, Dad)

Barry M's Turquoise with Barry M's Crackle Glaze (Gift from Janne). I've been wanting to try this out for ages, I love how it looks, it's transformed my tatty fingernails into semi-precious jewels.
I made some bloomers using a 1940's Style pattern and a tatty old underskirt.
Jon thinks I'm a tad overdressed for measuring the garden fence panels (our latest eBay bargain).
What a magical colour dress, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
ReplyDeleteI am jealous of your jumbles and charity shops finds, ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
Loving your bloomers, hehehhe.

What a fab find your 10p scarf was. I love that Barry M crackle glaze, first tried it at Christmas when someone from work brought some in then tried for ages to get some but it was always sold out until I finally struck lucky about a fortnight ago - it really sets off the nail varnish underneath. xxx
